About The CaptainCaptain Jack Shea is a licensed USCG captain who has been avidly fishing Barnegat Bay and local ocean waters for the past fifteen years. During that time, he has averaged between 75 and 100 days on the water each year, fishing the bay from the early Spring opening of flounder season well into December when the shallows get clogged with ice. A lifelong surf and freshwater fisherman, Captain Jack's passion for fishing became focused on Barnegat Bay in 1992. He brings his extensive light tackle experience and expertise on the lakes, rivers, and streams of the Northeast US and Canada to the shallow bay and inlet waters, providing customers with the finest in light tackle fishing enjoyment. In addition to fishing himself, Captain Jack has always enjoyed taking other people fishing, particularly novices, and helping them to enjoy the sport and environment he loves so much. In addition to working hard to ensure everyone's enjoyment, he willingly shares his expertise and ideas in helping them become better anglers. Captain Jack is on the Pro Staff of Lamiglas fishing rods, Abu Garcia reels, Jones Brothers boats, Berkley fishing tackle, Pure Fishing tackle, Flying Fisherman eyewear, and Frabill nets . He is an active member of the Recreational Fishing Alliance (RFA), the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), a lifetime member of the New Jersey Beach Buggy Association, the National Association of Charterboat Operators, the American Professional Captains Association, and a proud sponsor of the Save the Summer Flounder Fishery Fund. |
